Welcome to our house

I am a mother of two boys. This isn't anything special, just somewhere I can write about how our day went, what we did, and sometimes just how I'm feeling trying to manage two young boys.

Sacto MoFo & California State Fair

With the food truck craze that's been going on for some time now, Sacramento has had it's own mobile food events.  We finally had some time to stop by and the Sacto MoFo event in town.  It was held at the same location as the farmer's market under the freeway in downtown Sacramento.  There were lots of mobile food trucks and all kinds of tastiness.

Some paella and some Korean tacos

It was great.  We all enjoyed some good food and then afterwards we headed over to Cal Expo for the California State Fair.  Miles had been asking to go since the state fair opened.  The fair is about a mile and a half from our house so...it's kind of hard to drive around and not have him see all the rides and things going on there without asking if he could go there.  It was a hot day so we spent quite a bit of time in the exhibit halls with their shows, displays, and information about the many great things that go on in our wonderful state.  There were the animals of course.  There was a great habitat structure for the birds.  After all the walking around though, the kids finally got what they loved the best....the rides.

A papaya tree...as much as I love papaya salad I have never seen
an actual papaya tree so I had to take a picture of one.

And as the day wore into evening the lights of the carnival light up the sky

We stayed and watched the fireworks. We can hear them every night from our house so it was nice to finally be out and see them.  Miles is usually asleep when the are going off.  It was a fun filled day had by all.
